Set up by visionary and forward thinker, Shri. Nagaraja Gupta in 1977, the Travel Air Group continues to remain true to its original vision -- that of making a borderless world where travel is both easy and affordable. Travel Air was the first agency in South India to offer customers exclusive packages to the Far East & South East Asia at a time when traveling abroad was considered a dream and luxury that only a few could afford. The company also introduced installment schemes for packages way back in the 80s. The company continues to be innovative in its schemes and packages while adding new destinations. Over the past 30 years the Travel Air Group has delighted travelers by offering the entire gamut of travel-related services, so travelers can indulge in a complete experience and one that they can cherish for an entire life time.
The Travel Air Group is run by a team of over 200 travel professionals, offering personalized services, customized holiday packages of the highest quality, guaranteeing value for money, and unforgettable travel experiences.
Travel Air Group’s gross billing closed at Rs. 306 crore in the year 2007-08, and we are growing at over 30% per annum. In February 2006, India’s largest media company BCCL invested in the Travel Air Group and now holds a 13% stake. The group now owns two distinct brands – Travel Air and Travel Tours Pvt. Ltd.

We keep our travelers updated with our quarterly newsletter that covers our latest offers, exciting new destinations and new products. We also keep in touch with customers through weekly news updates that highlight new promotional offers, and any changes in visa requirements or changes at our end.
Special interest tours. We planned an exclusive tour of South America for a group of coffee planters who visited the country to study the success stories of coffee plantations. We also organized a tour for the top performing employees of Coco Cola India to Iceland (Iceland has the highest per capita consumption of coke in the world!)
Incentive Tours Team. This team has done corporate Incentive and conference groups of 650 pax at a time to international destinations
In-house Training Academy. This academy has experienced faculty to train individuals keen in the travel & service industry to be thorough professionals
24/7 Air Ticketing Counter. This counter was the first of its kind in Bangalore; all our customers avail this service especially on weekends and public holidays
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a pan-India travel company - a brand that is synonymous with innovative products, fresh itineraries and newer destinations, and reaching out to every segment of the travel market.
Even as Far East continues to remain the most popular destination, owing to its proximity and easy accessibility from India and affordable pricing, we are actively promoting tours to exotic locations in Europe like Spain, and even China, Egypt, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
We have also started a Luxury Travel Division catering to the discerning customer. This division offers customers an exclusive range of high end vacation options and actively promotes up-market cruise brands like Star Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Carnival Cruise Lines, Ocean Village, P&O Cruises and Seaborne Cruise lines.
Our Sports Travel Division is keenly promoting sports tours to give sports enthusiasts a chance to watch their favourite sporting event while indulging in new experiences and touring new destinations. Other than regular tours to the F-1 Circuits in Malaysia, Turkey, China and parts of Europe, we have also started Cricket and Golf tours.
To make our vision of panning India a reality, we have set up offices in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and New Delhi over the past year; the Mumbai office will be operational by mid-2007.
